Winter Warmth Project
We are excited for our 3rd annual Winter Warmth Project! Every year on Christmas Day, December 25th, we distribute cold weather items (beanies, scarves, gloves, coats, blankets, socks, etc.) to Veterans and families in need to help ensure they are able to stay warm throughout the winter months. This event is a variation of our Feed Their Needs program and we will be distributing our bag meals on this day as well.
Last year, because of your extravagant generosity, we were able to provide hundreds of cold weather items to men, women and children in need. We need your help again this year to make this event a success! We are looking to raise $3,500 to fund this event, which would include the purchase of our bag meal supplies, supplies to provide a hot meal on site, and the purchase of 200 Winter Preparation Bags. These Winter Preparation Bags include; beanie, pair of gloves, blanket, pair of socks, soap, shampoo, hand warmers, toothbrush and toothpaste. Any donation from $1 to $3,500 would help us toward our goal of helping in need individuals in our community. All donations made HERE are completely tax deductible and will go straight toward funding this year’s event.
If you are unable to give monetarily, we are also collecting new and slightly used adult coats for this event. We will gladly accept men’s and women’s coat, but just keep in mind that the individuals that we typically see at this event are about 95% male.
